Sailor's Return on the harbourside - home to the Wednesday night session

A friendly weekly session on Wednesday night at this Weymouth pub on the quayside at the harbour end of St. Nicholas Street. Great mixture of songs/instrumentals and styles of music.
Dorchester Song Session

This mainly trad., mainly song club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Kings Armsl in High East Street, Dorchester. Performers always made to feel very welcome.

Weymouth Scottish Country Dancers

The Evolve 08 Festival will be held at Lodmoor Park,Weymouth,Dorset. First year for this festival with a great line-up including Show of Hands. Check out their website.

Clennell Hall, Northumbria 9 to 11 May 2008
The Aim of the Festival is to bring together the very best of 'old & new'. We will be presenting established artists from around Britain, as well as some of the best young talent around. The flavour will be very much Northumbrian, but we will also be adding a little international flavour, whenever we can!
Winchester

15 to 18 May 2008
MAYfest is four vibrant days of music, song and dance in the streets, pubs and concert venues of Winchester. The festival runs from 15th to 18th May and has attracted many well-known singers and musicians. Most events are free and take place in the Guildhall, St. Lawrence’s Church, the High Street, the Square, on Cathedral Green and in some of Winchester’s favourite watering-holes.

Wimborne 15 to 17 June 2008
A weekend of the very best in traditional English and Celtic music and dance, in and around the Minster town of Wimborne - Dorset
2007 was a brilliant success - the sun shone all weekend - the music was good - the dancing was good and the 'craic was mighty'! If you were not there then make sure you come and visit us this year.

Swanage 5 to 7 September 2008
The 2008 festival kicks off on Friday 5th September with a concert in the main marquee on Sandpit Field. A variety of activities for children take place on the Sandpit Field over the weekend keeping them happy. Saturday at 3.30 pm features the procession of dance sides through the town, featuring somewhere in the region of 40 dance sides from the world of Morris, Apalachian, Clog, and maybe some more exotic dance styles.
