Pub sessions What would a festival be without pub sessions for singers and musicians alike? Two venues all with very different styles of session, but all with a warm welcome!

Jo and Roger Quigley have been successfully organising the sessions for the festival from the beginning, and here's the programme they've come up with for you.......

The Sailor's Return pub

The Sailor's Return - Home of the regular Wednesday night song/music sessions led by Jo and Roger Quigley. A great pub with great atmosphere. On the Quay at the harbour end of St. Nicholas Street, round the corner from the multi-storey car park.

Friday 5 June
8 pm to 11 pm

'Anything Goes' Session - hosted by Des Quick (Beatles to Bach and everything in between!)

Saturday 6 June

12 noon to 2 pm

English Tunes Session - hosted by Colin & Ruth Thompson
3 pm to 5 pm Relaxed Song Session - hosted by Dawn
8 pm to 11 pm 'Anything Goes' Session - Host TBC
Sunday 7 June
12 noon to 2 pm Bluegrass and Old Time Session - hosted by Nigel Canter
No percussion, please!
2.30 pm to 5 pm Folk Club - hosted by Triskele. Not a session, but a traditional 'folk club' format. To book yourself a spot, see Tina at the Sailor's around 2.15 pm
8 pm to 11 pm

The Survivors' Session - staying power required! Bring your party piece. Hosted by Roger and Jo Quigley.

The King's Arms - Child -friendly and welcoming we're pleased they've agreed to host sessions again this year and to be a key sponsor for the festival! In Trinity Street, on the way to Brewer's Quay and Hope Square, just down from the Harbour Bridge.

12 noon to 2 pm Shanty and Sea Song Session - hosted by Geoff Payne and Friends
3 pm to 5 pm  
8 pm to 11 pm Music Session - hosted by James Findlay
Sunday 7 June
12 noon to 2 pm Open Session - Turn up and play!
3 pm to 5 pm  
8 pm to 11 pm Music and Song Session - Hosted by Stuart and Sandy Cave
   
The Excise House - Since we started, the Excise House has been a staunch supporter of the festival. Always a popular music venue in Weymouth, we're delighted that we're able to make much more use of their premises this year. In Hope Square right by the main stage.
Saturday 6 June
3 pm to 5 pm Green Room Session - Hosted by Celtic Confusion.
'Half-speed' session for the first hour to give all you budding session players a chance to get up to full speed!
9 pm to late

Sunday 7 June
1 pm to 8 pm Musicians Session - unhosted. Turn up and chance it!
9 pm to late LeDPin (£2 on the door)
